WHY CHOOSE US

Elevated seating

Authentic • Comfortable • Small-Group • Wildlife-Focused

The Real Florida Experience:

Our tours take place inside the Indian River St. Lucie County Aquatic Preserve, one of the quietest natural areas in Fort Pierce, Florida. Unlike high-traffic locations where many tours operate, our routes avoid crowded sandbars, loud boat areas, and constant wake—ideal for anyone wanting a calm, natural experience.

Ultra-Comfortable, High-Capacity Kayaks:

Guests consistently say our 13- and 16-foot kayaks are the most comfortable they have ever used. High-back seating, wide, stable and ample leg room offer a relaxed ride for guests of all experience levels. You will appreciate not being squeezed into a small plastic kayak with limited space. Our kayaks are designed for relaxed paddling, extended trips, and guests of all experience levels.

Elevated seating and standing flexibility :

Our kayaks also feature a paddleboard-style flat floor and elevated seating allowing easier leg movement and the best viewing angles into and around the water. This elevated seating and stand up paddleboard floor design provides the same visibility advantages that many experienced guides seek, giving guests a clearer view than low-sitting kayaks allow.

Locally Guided by the Owner:

We paddle the Indian River Lagoon several times each week. Tours are personal, educational, and adjusted to the group and not rushed. Guests learn about wildlife, mangroves, local history, ecology, tides, and the prehistoric archaeological site on the aquatic preserve tours. Smaller groups allow for:

  • Easy communication

  • More wildlife viewing

  • More personal guidance

  • Quieter paddling

  • Better photo opportunities

Higher Chance of Wildlife Encounters:

Because our routes stay in quiet waterways, guests often see:

  • Dolphins

  • Manatees

  • Stingrays

  • Coastal birds

  • Sea stars, crabs, and lagoon life

While sightings are never guaranteed, our slow pace and flexible routing provide better opportunities than tours that stay in one busy channel.

Four Tour Options:

Choose from 2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour, and 8-hour routes exploring mangroves, sandbars, lagoon flats, historic sites, and the Fort Pierce Inlet. Guest reviews say:

  • "Authentic Old Florida Scenery"

  • “A hidden rustic gem”

  • “Like stepping back into Old Florida”

  • “The most peaceful place in Fort Pierce”

Perfect for ‘Kayaking Near Me’ Searches:

If you are visiting Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Jensen Beach, Port St. Lucie, or Hutchinson Island and search “kayaking near me”, most of our tours offer nearby launch points and access to the quiet side of Florida—far from noise, crowds, and commercialized kayaking experiences.

Children ages 11 and under are free when riding with an adult on our tours. For safety reasons, we do require one adult on the reservation for each child participating.  For details, see the question about infants/children/teens under the FAQ tab.

Top rated kayaks and no compromise on tour equipment. Our kayaks are rated for an 800 lb. load, stable enough to stand up and engineered for ocean conditions. See the equipment page for details.

We limit our group size. We want to make sure that you can hear our guide and enjoy that personal attention that can happen only in a small group.
